November 7, 2021 - Martha Karua, the leader of NARC Kenya, has made a triumphant return to Kenyan politics after a decade-long absence. Her re-entry into the political arena is being closely watched, particularly in the context of the 2022 General Election.

As a seasoned politician, Karua's influence is growing, with some presidential contenders reportedly courting her as their preferred running mate. However, Karua has downplayed these reports, stating that she has not been approached by any of the contenders.

During an exclusive interview with Capital News, Karua emphasized that she is focused on unifying and solidifying the voice of Mt. Kenya, a region that has been at the center of the ongoing political discourse in the country. She also stressed that she is not going to be used as a whip to dismantle the ambition of any of the presidential contenders.

Karua has declared that she will be vying for the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat, and has challenged presidential hopefuls to be objective and realistic in their campaigns. She has also pointed out that Kenyans want to hear concrete plans that are doable and will be implemented, rather than 'sweet nothings' aimed at whipping up the masses.

As the 2022 General Election approaches, Karua's entry into the political matrix is proving to be a game-changer, with her influence continuing to grow each day. Some leaders have openly endorsed her as a best fit for Kenya's next Deputy President, but Karua remains cautious, stating that she will only root for her own candidature where she is vying.
