On July 5, 2019, a farmer in Timua, Meru County faced the consequences of his bull's actions.
According to court records, Zachary Muriungi's bull broke free from its tether and mated with a neighbour's heifer in Ngushishi, Timau.
Muriungi claimed that he was unable to control his bull, which he said was a natural act between the animals.
When questioned by the court, Muriungi stated, “My bull had been tethered firmly and could not have broken the rope had it not been for the heifer. It broke the rope to pursue it and thus entered the farm,”
