On September 1, 2021, comedian Eric Omondi made headlines when he showcased a multi-million mansion in the upscale Karen suburbs, claiming it was worth Sh. 141 million.
According to Omondi, the mansion cost him Sh. 72 million, while the land it sits on was valued at Sh. 69 million, bringing the total to Sh. 141 million.
However, in a shocking twist, Omondi later revealed that the house did not belong to him, but was instead a publicity stunt for his Wife Material Show.
Speaking on Jalang'o's Bonga na Jalas show, Omondi admitted to creating a showbiz character to attract attention, stating, 'It is obvious that house in Karen is not mine, that's what Eric Omondi does.'
Butita, a fellow comedian, had previously come out in support of Omondi's claim, even warning him to buy a ranch instead of the mansion.
Eric Omondi's antics did not stop there, as he also admitted to lying about siring a child with musician Miss P to create hype around their new song together.
