Comedian Eric Omondi has ignited a heated controversy with his explosive response to journalist Jacque Maribe's allegations of being a deadbeat dad to their seven-year-old son.

Maribe had accused Omondi of neglecting their child, but the comedian has hit back with a lengthy social media post, recounting their one-night stand in 2012 and her subsequent pregnancy claim.

According to Omondi, he met Maribe at Radio Africa in 2012, and they had a brief affair after a staff party. He claimed that they used protection during their encounter, but Maribe informed him two months later that she was pregnant with his child.

Omondi alleged that Maribe was already in a relationship with a senior reporter at the time and that she refused his request for a DNA test after the baby was born.

However, Omondi's account has raised eyebrows due to a glaring inconsistency: if the one-night stand occurred in 2012, it would have been impossible for Maribe to become pregnant nine months later, given the baby was born in October 2014.

As the drama unfolds, Nyakundi Report will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
