November 3, 2021, marked the beginning of a heated debate on social media as comedian Eric Omondi's paternity drama with ex-TV girl Jacque Maribe unfolded.

At the center of the drama is a child whose paternity Omondi has been accused of denying, with Maribe claiming he is the biological father.

Responding to the allegations, Omondi accused Maribe of ducking a DNA test, which would determine the truth about the child's paternity.

However, several of Omondi's celebrity friends have urged him to diplomatically settle the issue, with musician Daddy Owen suggesting that the two parties find a way to resolve their differences amicably.

Controversial activist Boniface Mwangi also weighed in, stating that Omondi had shamed his baby mama and son by publicly denying the child's paternity.

"This isn't cool @ericomondi. You have shamed your Baby Mama and your son. It's been public knowledge that you're her baby daddy, and you even admitted as much. So this whole story you're bringing might even be true, but the public didn't need to know that much. It's an honour to be a dad and @jacquemaribe chose you as her son's father. Now your son, since as far as he knows you're the daddy, will be ridiculed shamed because you have somewhat denied him publicly. Not cool bro," Mwangi said.

Radio presenters Maina Kageni and Jalang'o also chipped in with their say as the drama unfolded.
