Bayern Munich secured a crucial 5-2 win over Benfica on Tuesday, November 2, at the Allianz Arena, thanks in large part to Robert Lewandowski's three-goal performance in his 100th UEFA Champions League match.

Lewandowski opened the scoring for Bayern in the 24th minute, capitalizing on Kingsley Coman's cross. He added a second goal in the 32nd minute, which was followed by Serge Gnabry's goal in the same minute.

Despite Rodrigues da Silva Morato's goal for Benfica in the 38th minute, Leroy Sane scored Bayern's third goal early in the second half, and Lewandowski added two more goals in the 61st and 84th minutes. Darwin Nunez scored Benfica's second goal in the 74th minute.

With this win, Bayern Munich has secured a spot in the UEFA Round of 16, and Lewandowski has now scored 81 goals in the UEFA Champions League, a testament to his impressive form in the competition.

Bayern Munich has won all four matches in Group E, and they are now just six points behind Barcelona, who are leading the group with 12 points. Benfica is in third place with four points, three more than Dynamo Kyiv.
