On October 4, Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali was summoned to court as a surety for terror suspect Noordin Hassan Abdallah alias Kamanda. However, he failed to show up, prompting the Kwale Principal Magistrate to issue a warrant of arrest the following day.
According to reports, Ali had stood surety for Abdallah, who was facing charges of being in possession of radicalization articles (case number 846/16). Abdallah had been released on bail but failed to appear in court on October 4 and November 1.
As a result, a warrant of arrest was issued against Ali, who is now facing the consequences of standing surety for a suspect who jumped bail.
