On October 28, 2021, the sister-in-law of former Cabinet minister Fred Gumo was abducted by unknown people in an incident that has left the family and police searching for answers.
According to Mr. Gumo, police have been unable to establish the whereabouts of the driver and his sister-in-law, with their cellphones remaining switched off.
Speaking to Nation.Africa on Saturday, Mr. Gumo expressed hope that something positive would happen, more than 48 hours after the kidnap.
“We have not seen the two, nor have we heard anything from them. Their cellphones remain switched off,” Mr. Gumo said.
