On October 30th, 2021, Kenyan marathoner Eliud Kipchoge made a special appearance at the Parc des Princes Stadium in France, where he met and took photos with French football star Kylian Mbappe.
As a special invitee of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Kipchoge was among the thousands of fans who watched the Ligue 1 match against Lille.
Before the match, Kipchoge appeared in a video shared by PSG on their social media, saying, “Hi everyone! I’m very happy to be here at the PSG stadium. I wish all my fans and football fans a good game. Come on Paris!”
PSG's French star Kylian Mbappe had a good time interacting with the world marathon record holder Kipchoge, exchanging a jersey, athletics footwear, and football playing boots.
Despite being a goal down, PSG came from behind to beat Lille 2-1 in the dying minutes of the game, with Di Maria scoring the winner in the 88th minute.
With the win, PSG remains unbeaten at Parc De Princes this season in Ligue 1 and are now top of the table.
