Ken Okoth, the Kibra MP, has been receiving an outpouring of love and support from Kenyans on Twitter as he continues to battle colon cancer.
Okoth, who has been in France for treatment since the beginning of the year, has been sharing updates on his condition with his followers.
On March 1, 2019, he tweeted, “Napambana na hali yangu kabisa. (I’m fighting with it). Chemo drugs are brutal on the skin and immunity system.”
His message sparked a wave of encouragement from Kenyans, with many sending their well-wishes and prayers for his recovery.
Kenya Ambassador to France, Professor Judy Wakhungu, shared a photo of Okoth visiting her office to update her on his projects in Kibra, saying, “Courtesy call from Hon. Ken Okoth (Kibra). He updated us on many issues including his impressive education projects & his plans for increasing them to reach many students. He is also keen to use Sports Diplomacy to expand his students’ horizons,”
Many Kenyans have been inspired by Okoth’s courage and resilience in the face of his illness, with some sending messages of love and encouragement to him on Twitter.
