On October 30, 2021, TechMoran revealed that Google is on the verge of producing the next Tensor SoC for the Pixel 7 series of smartphones.
According to 9to5Google, hints of the expected future chip were discovered in the APKs of the preinstalled apps on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
The code mentioned a particular 'Cloudripper,' which is seen in Google's product model documentation for the GS201. Given that the GS101 is the Tensor SoC used in the latest Pixels, it can be deduced that Cloudripper is a development platform for a Tensor successor.
As a result, Google is already working on its next chip generation, confirming that the American company will continue to rely on its own SoCs to power its different products, including smartphones and the Pixelbook.
