Renowned rally drivers Carl 'Flash' Tundo and Ian Duncan are among the top drivers who have confirmed their participation in the KCB Gilgil Autocross Championships, scheduled to take place at Oleleshwa Farm on October 30, 2021.
The one-day competition will feature a 2.2km twisty course running clockwise, which is expected to be slippery during rainy seasons.
Other experienced drivers expected to participate in the highly anticipated competition include Erick Bengi, Maxine Wahome, Frank Tundo, and Sam Karangatha.
According to the event's Relationship Officer Ian Mwangi, a total of 32 riders had confirmed their participation by the close of business on Thursday evening, which was the deadline for entry registration.
Mwangi assured all participants and the general public of adequate security at the event, stating, 'We'll provide adequate security for all participants and spectators and there should be no cause for alarm for all players when at the venue of the competition.'
He also mentioned that medical facilities have been put in place for the riders in case of any emergency, both for the riders and spectators.
However, Mwangi stated that they have only limited places for spectators.
