Eldoret: Mzee Arrested for Entering Cemetery Without Permission

On October 23, 2021, a 70-year-old man, Peter Sirengo, was arrested in Eldoret for entering a cemetery in Likuyani, Kakamega County, without permission.

The cemetery belonged to the family of William Ochola, who had accused Sirengo of trying to disturb the dead and cause chaos.

According to the charges, Sirengo entered the restricted area of the cemetery with the intention of harassing Ochola emotionally.

However, Sirengo denied the allegations and was released on a Sh10,000 bond. The case is set to be heard on November 22.
