Heroic Father of 85 Dies After Son's Fatal Bee Attack in Kisumu ¶
On Friday, October 29, a 65-year-old man tragically lost his life while attempting to rescue his 85-year-old father from a swarm of bees in Kisumu, Kenya.
The incident occurred when a lorry disturbed the bees, causing them to attack the father first. In a heroic act, the son rushed to his father's aid, covering him with a blanket and leaving himself exposed to the bees.
Unfortunately, the bees turned on the son, stinging him all over, resulting in his fatal attack. Despite the neighbors' efforts to rush to his aid, it was too late, and the son died on the spot.
The 85-year-old father, however, survived the attack and is currently undergoing treatment at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Similar incidents have been reported in the past, including a recent case where Baringo Governor Stanley Kiptis was forced to flee after a swarm of bees attacked a motorsport event he was attending.
