On Thursday, Deputy President William Ruto visited Kaiti and Kilome Constituencies in Makueni County, where he engaged with residents and empowered small-scale traders in over 10 markets.
Accompanied by MPs Victor Munyaka, Nimrod Mbai, UDA Chairman Johnson Muthama, and former lawmakers Regina Ndambuki and Gideon Ndambuki, Dr Ruto emphasized the importance of uniting behind the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
"A national party built on a strong pro-people economic foundation will be the cornerstone for the Hustler Nation Movement," Dr Ruto said.
He added that the UDA Government's Bottom-Up Economic Model would pursue a legal framework to spur enterprise and protect businesses from predatory lenders.
"Make no mistake again. Let us walk together and form the next government," Dr Ruto urged the residents.
His message was echoed by Muthama, who noted that only UDA was issue-based and urged residents not to be sold empty promises.
