On Wednesday night, a 25-year-old teacher allegedly lured a 17-year-old Form Four student into his house in Kipkelion, sparking a defilement case.

Area police commander Peter Omondi said the suspect was arrested after the girl was spotted at the teacher's house the following morning, prompting an angry mob to form.

Police officers swiftly intervened and rescued the suspect from the mob, who had gathered at his rental house.

The suspect is being detained at Fort-ternan Police Station, where he will face defilement charges once police complete their investigations.

Meanwhile, the girl was taken to Fort-ternan Sub-county hospital for a medical examination.
