On October 28, 2021, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested a 37-year-old man in Syokimau, Machakos County, in connection with a drug trafficking operation.
The suspect, identified as George Ntiiti Naibaltau, was found in possession of 24 bags of cannabis sativa, whose value remains unknown.
According to the DCI, the suspect has been under surveillance by the Transnational Organised Crime detectives, and the arrest was made at his home in Syokimau.
During the operation, the detectives also impounded a motor vehicle registration No. KBN 573Z, a white Toyota Ipsum, which is believed to have been used by the suspect to transport the drugs.
The suspect is currently being processed at the DCI's headquarters before being arraigned to face charges.
