Electric Fault Cited as Probable Cause for Fire at Moi High School

On October 27, 2021, a fire incident broke out at Moi High School in Kabarak, Nakuru County, during evening remedial lessons.

According to the school's management, the fire was caused by an electric fault and was contained by firefighters from Nakuru County before it caused significant damage.

Fortunately, none of the students were hurt during the incident, which was the first to be reported since the school was established.

Elishebah Cheruiyot, the School Principal, confirmed that the damage to the dormitory was minimal.

The Moi family's Press Officer, Alex Kiprotich, also confirmed that the school had reached out to parents to assure them of their children's safety.
