As Kenyans were glued to Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe's updates on the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, his son Kahush was building a name for himself in the music industry.

With hits like 'Mi Siwezi' and 'Maisha', Kahush rose to fame in 2019 and has since become a social media sensation.

However, it appears that Kahush has now traded his microphone for a textbook, as he has left Kenya to pursue a course in Politics and International Relations at Nottingham University in London.

It is unclear whether the young rapper will balance his studies with his music career, but for now, it seems that his focus is on his education.

On his Instagram stories, Kahush wrote, 'Bye KE! See you in a few years. It's been so fun entertaining you. Love!'

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has been a proud supporter of his son's music, even going so far as to say that he considers Kahush a good rapper.
