On October 27, 2021, a remarkable story of community resilience and determination emerged from the Mathare slums in Nairobi. Dife, a grassroots initiative, had been working tirelessly with local residents to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Through a combination of awareness campaigns, door-to-door outreach, and provision of essential supplies, Dife's efforts helped to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on the community.
