October 27, 2021 - Tusker FC is gearing up for a crucial match against FC Talanta in the FKF Premier League, seeking to put their recent losses in the CAF Champions League behind them.
The brewers suffered a 1-0 loss to Leopards in their season opener and were then defeated twice by Egyptian giants Zamalek SC in the Champions League.
Coach Robert Matano and his team see the match against Talanta as an opportunity to regain their rhythm and confidence.
“The players have picked valuable lessons and now see what they need to do to be at the top level. It is a challenge thrown to them, and we must embrace it and improve,” Matano said.
FC Talanta, on the other hand, has had a promising start to the season, picking up five points in their first three matches, including a draw against KCB and Wazito.
Meanwhile, Gor Mahia is on a roll in the FKF Premier League, having won both their opening league matches against KCB and AFC Leopards. They will face Kariobangi Sharks at the Kasarani Stadium, a match that is expected to be a tough duel.
“It is always a tough and entertaining match between us and Gor Mahia, and I am looking forward to the same. As a team, we have started the season well and will be looking to continue that way,” said Sharks coach William Muluya.
