Published on October 27, 2021, the Serikali ya Kaunti ya Kilifi has decided to provide legal assistance to residents of Kadzuhoni, Wadi ya Gongoni, in the Magarini Constituency to resolve a land ownership dispute.
The dispute involves a 300-acre land that is disputed between the locals and investors who claim to own a company that operates a salt factory in the area.
Governor Amason Kingi has urged residents to cooperate with the County Government to find a solution. He stated that the County has taken the initiative to file a lawsuit, after realizing that the residents had not received justice in the initial court decision.
The court's previous decision led to the eviction of students from Kadzuhoni Primary School and some villagers.
