Kenya's Ministry of Health confirmed 151 new Covid-19 cases on October 26, 2021, from 7,224 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
The country's cumulative number of samples tested since March 2019 has now reached 2,682,247, with a positivity rate of 2.1 per cent.
Of the new cases, 141 are Kenyans, while 10 are foreigners, with 84 males and 67 females. The youngest case is a one-year-old child, and the oldest is 113 years old.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced that 35 patients have recovered from the disease, with 25 from the Home-Based Isolation and Care program and 10 discharged from various health facilities countrywide.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 246,390, while the Covid-19 death toll has risen to 5,263 after three more patients succumbed.
There are currently 488 patients admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 1,308 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
Some 27 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 13 of whom are on ventilatory support and 14 on supplemental oxygen. No patient is under observation.
