On October 26, 2021, High Court judge Margaret Muigai granted an interim injunction to Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, restraining activist Boniface Mwangi from publishing defamatory material about him.
The injunction was issued in response to an application filed by Governor Mutua, who was seeking to bar Mwangi from defaming him further.
According to the court order, Mwangi was restrained from publishing any defamatory material, including innuendos and insinuations, linking Governor Mutua to the distraction of his Lukenya house.
The case will be mentioned on November 4, 2021.
