Enock Sikolia, a CGTN journalist, has spoken about the role of Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney in his media career. In a recent interview, Sikolia revealed that he initially studied laboratory science at Kenyatta University, graduating in 2008.

However, after realizing that he did not want to pursue a career in laboratory science, Sikolia decided to change his career path. He started looking for a job in media but was unsuccessful for four years.

During this time, Sikolia was advised to go back to school and join a college. He studied for two months but realized that he had been misled. He was looking for a postgraduate diploma in journalism but was told that the college offered it.

It was not until 2012 that Sikolia met former Citizen TV Editor, Ali Mtenzi, who took his papers and audio demo and promised to deliver them to Royal Media Services. Sikolia got a call from RMS and was offered an internship.

After finishing his internship, CS Karoney helped Sikolia get his first job at K24 TV. He later joined NTV and worked there for six years before joining Citizen TV in 2018. In 2020, Sikolia joined China Global Television Network (CGTN) as a reporter for Africa Live.
