As of October 26, 2021, Romania has implemented a series of measures to combat the spread of COVID-19, including a ban on unvaccinated individuals leaving their homes between 10 pm and 5 am.
During these hours, residents without a vaccination certificate will be unable to access establishments, with the exception of supermarkets and pharmacies.
Concerts, celebrations such as weddings, and companies with less than 50% telecommuting teams have been banned, with the restrictions set to remain in place for at least 30 days.
The move is part of a mandatory vaccination campaign aimed at increasing the country's vaccination rate, which currently stands at just 30% of the population.
According to recent data, Romania has seen a significant increase in COVID-19 cases, with 225 deaths per million inhabitants in the last 14 days, ten times the European average.
Travelers from Austria, Belgium, and Greece will also be subject to quarantine rules when entering Romania, as the country has placed these countries on its red list due to high COVID-19 incidence rates.
