Size 8's Message of Hope ¶
Just a month after losing a pregnancy due to health issues, gospel artist Size 8 is back in the spotlight with a new song and a message of hope for her peers in the industry.
Speaking during an Instagram live session, Size 8 addressed the issue of gospel artistes quitting the industry, citing pressure from peers as a major reason. She encouraged her fellow artistes to hold on to their faith and not give in to temptation.
"I'm talking to gospel artistes and gospel ministers. I know times are hard, but don't leave yet. Don't do the wrong thing to please people. Hold on to God and he will lift you at the right time," she said in her new song 'Utawale'.
Size 8's comments come weeks after Guardian Angel said that the gospel is alive, but the industry that 'holds' is long gone. She believes that many artistes are quick to quit the industry because they join expecting to make good money, but end up realizing that the reality is different.
"Gospel artistes, there is a lot of problems right now and things are not working. Don't give in and step down to God's work," she advised.
Size 8's message of hope is a timely reminder for artistes in the gospel industry who may be feeling pressure to quit. Her new song 'Utawale' is a powerful reminder of the importance of holding on to one's faith and not giving in to temptation.
