Published on October 26, 2021, a sexologist, Maurice Matheka, shed light on the root causes of the pressure men face in bed.

Matheka explained that the inability to differentiate between procreational and recreational sex has led most men to try too hard to prove their prowess. He noted that 'normally a man should ejaculate within seconds in procreational sex but when it comes to recreational sex, what's the point of going to Nanyuki to have two minutes of sex?... that's where the pressure comes from.'

Matheka emphasized that sex for fun is the root of sexual pressure, and women, social media, and fellow men don't make matters better. He also pointed out that religion and upbringing can exert pressure, leading to performance anxiety, even if men haven't received negative feedback.

Matheka further stated that the size of 'Miss V' does not matter, unless one has a very tiny penis. He noted that men who worry about the size of their penis are plagued with insecurities, including not achieving full erection, resulting in feelings of 'sponginess and hollowness,' which has little to do with the size of 'Miss V' and more with a man's mentality.

Matheka also argued that porn is partly healthy as it ups a man's game. He stated that 'porn is a science, a stimulus point. If your sex doesn't look pornful then it's boring like lovey-dovey sex. If your sex lasts less than five minutes that's not pornful, it's your fault.'
