On July 5, 2019, Kenyan comedian Njugush found himself in an awkward situation at a restaurant.
He had coincidentally run into his ex at the eatery and, in an attempt to show off, ordered an exorbitant amount of food and drinks.
According to reports, Njugush asked for fish, stir-fried beef, and multiple drinks, including one worth Ksh 8,000.
When asked why he was shouting, Njugush replied, 'I am shouting because the lady over there is my ex and I want her to see how far I have gone in life.'
However, things took a turn for the worse when Njugush realized he had left his wallet at home and couldn't pay the bill, which came out to be Ksh 24,999.
His ex couldn't hide her excitement as she called the security, saying, 'He eats and refuses to pay. Go call the security, I will take care of him.'
Njugush's embarrassing moment has left many in stitches, with some taking to social media to share their own experiences of being unable to pay bills.
