On October 25, 2021, Kenya Airways and British Airways announced a significant partnership that will ease travel between Africa and Europe.

The code-share agreement will allow passengers flying with Kenya Airways to connect to 26 cities in the UK and Europe, boosting business travel and tourism between African destinations and Europe.

According to Julius Thairu, Chief Commercial Officer at Kenya Airways, the partnership is 'very strategic' and will increase choices for thousands of passengers, providing smooth connectivity to a significant number of new destinations.

British Airways Head of Alliances, Christopher Fordyce, added that the new deal will make 'that bucket list trip even easier to plan' for customers.

Under the agreement, Kenya Airways will place its flight code on British Airways' services from London to various destinations, including Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Barcelona, and Munich.

Similarly, British Airways' customers will connect seamlessly to African destinations such as Mombasa, Zanzibar, Lusaka, Doula, Addis Ababa, Entebbe, Mauritius, Seychelles, and others.
