October 24, 2021, marked a special day for Kenya Power employee Linner Towett, who has been making a difference in the lives of many, especially the vulnerable. As she prepares to retire next year, her dedication and humility have left an indelible mark on the lives of those she has touched.

With a career spanning over three decades, Linner joined Kenya Power in July 1988, where she began as a registry assistant. Her exceptional skills and rapport with clients earned her a promotion to the customer service desk, where she worked for 17 years. During this time, she developed a network with clients and ensured they left the office happy and contented with the company's services.

Her humility in service has been notable, especially in handling people living with disabilities who always ask to be served by her. Linner's passion for educating girls has also led her to sponsor several girls through school, with four currently in secondary school.

After saving for over a decade, Linner bought a piece of land at Ngata, which today houses the Springs of Hope Children's Home. The home, established in 2009, has been a haven for over 100 children who are today independent members of society.

Among the beneficiaries is 24-year-old Dennis Waweru, a law student at Kabarak University, who credits Linner for his success.
