On October 23, 2021, Nigerian afro-pop singer Stanley Omah Didia, alias Omah Lay, announced his upcoming performance in Kenya on October 30, 2021.

"Yoh what's up Kenya, this is Omah Lay, and I'm gonna be performing at the Pizza and Wine Festival on the 30th of October. So come on out. Come out with your friends. Come let's have fun. Alright?" the singer explained in a video uploaded on his social media pages.

The Pizza and Wine Festival takes place on October 30 and 31, 2021, at Royal Gardenia Gardens Evergreen, Kiambu Road, with a kitenge dress code and Omah Lay as the headlining act.

Kenyan superstars Bensoul, Karun, Nikita Kering, Chris Kaiga, Nviiri The Storyteller, Kahush, and more acts will also perform at the event.

Omah Lay's fans are excited about the event, which comes after his previous performance in Kenya was cancelled in August due to the pandemic.

The cancellation was a result of the government's ban on public gatherings and social events.

Omah Lay's visit to Kenya comes a year after he was arrested in Uganda for performing at an event despite a government ban.
