Founded in September 2021 under the Adanian Labs – a Pan African smart technologies venture studio with a mission to build 300 impact driven startups across Africa – The Africa Blockchain Centre has announced a significant investment from Next Chymia Consulting HK Limited, a company that provides blockchain solutions, consultancy services, and training to global entities.

According to Irene Kiwia, the Founder of The Africa Blockchain Centre, the startup aims to train 10,000 blockchain programmers, 5,000 business leaders and executives on blockchain readiness, incubate 50 blockchain startups, and launch robust solutions for the market in the next two years.

The Africa Blockchain Centre seeks to demystify blockchain technology and create platforms where the industry can learn, run research programs (R&D), launch blockchain solutions, and access blockchain as a service for various applications across industries and sectors.

With the investment, The Africa Blockchain Centre plans to set up operations in six African countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Nigeria, Uganda, and South Africa.

As stated by John Kamara, the CEO of Adanian Labs, the centre is a timely intervention, aligning with Africa's efforts to explore the potential of smart technologies in support of its 4IR efforts.

The Africa Blockchain Centre has a special focus on the female economy, with a gender lens to ensure that women are integral to this transformation.

Kenji Sasaki, the CEO of Next Chymia Consulting HK Limited, expressed confidence in the team and their model, stating that they are aligned in vision and commitment to building blockchain capacity and providing blockchain solutions to key industries.
