On Mashujaa Day, a 45-year-old man from Makueni County allegedly committed a heinous crime against his own family. According to detectives, Patrick Mumo Ngenge is now in hiding after the alleged act.
The victim, a 90-year-old woman, was found in her bedroom by her eldest son, complaining of severe waist pains. She recounted her harrowing ordeal, stating that her younger son, Patrick, had forced his way into her bedroom at around 8pm while she slept and subjected her to the brutal act.
She was immediately rushed to Kisau Sub-county hospital in serious condition, where doctors confirmed that she had indeed been raped. The detectives are now appealing to Patrick to surrender before the law catches up with him.
