Kiambu Student Lynched by Neighbouring School Girls

On October 21, 2021, a tragic incident occurred at Komothai ladies secondary school in Kiambu county. A 17-year-old student from Gathiruini boys secondary school was murdered by females from a neighbouring school.

According to the police, the incident happened at around 4 a.m. when the form four student and five others reportedly snuck out of their school and crept into a female dormitory at Komothai ladies secondary school.

Under the cover of darkness, the teens made their way inside Phoeb House, one of the girl’s dormitories, for an unknown objective. However, they were soon discovered by several girls who quickly raised the alarm, drawing the attention of the entire school.

The school’s guards, instructors, and students all went to the dormitories to see what was going on. Sadly, they descended on the 17-year-old student, causing him life-threatening injuries. He later succumbed to his injuries at Kigumo level IV hospital.

Crime scene detectives who visited the scene after the incident recovered planks of wood suspected to have been used to assault the suspect.

The police have cautioned members of the public from taking the law into their own hands. They advise that the public should accord suspects the opportunity to face justice in a court of law.
