On Saturday night, a disturbing video surfaced showing Eddie and Paul Ndichu, founders of Fintech startup Wapi Pay, allegedly involved in an altercation at a top hotel in Nairobi.
According to eyewitnesses, the twins had attacked two women, threatened to shoot them, and ruin their lives after they turned down their advances.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many calling for the brothers to be held accountable for their actions.
However, in a statement released on Tuesday morning, the Ndichu brothers claimed that the truth about the events of that night is not what is being spread on social media.
They alleged that they were only trying to separate two fighting women and defend themselves from certain aggressors.
The matter has been reported to the police and DCI for further investigation and resolution.
As the investigation unfolds, the Ndichu brothers have lost one investor, with the rest of their Sh240 million financing potentially at risk.
