Kenya's Covid-19 cases have risen to 252,066, with 33 new cases confirmed by the Ministry of Health on October 18th, 2021.

According to Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, the new cases were detected from 3,530 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 2,642,637.

Of the new cases, 28 are Kenyans while five are foreigners, with 17 being males and 16 females. The youngest is a two-month-old child, while the oldest is 98 years old.

One patient has succumbed to the disease, pushing the cumulative deaths to 5,224. There are 587 patients currently admitted to various health facilities countrywide, while 1,531 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

As of October 17th, 2021, a total of 4,520,753 vaccines had been administered across the country, with 3,303,782 partially vaccinated and 1,216,971 fully vaccinated.
