On a day when Wazito FC were already missing three key players, they suffered a further blow when their goalkeeper Mustafa Oduor was stretchered off just three minutes into the match against Kakamega Homeboyz.
Homeboyz, under the guidance of coach Bernard Mwalala, capitalized on Wazito's misfortune and secured their second consecutive 1-0 win, maintaining their 100% start to the FKF Premier League season.
Defender George Odiwuor scored the solitary goal for Homeboyz at the stroke of halftime, converting a penalty after substitute keeper Zamu Adisa brought down David Odhiambo inside the box.
Wazito had several chances to equalize, but their efforts were thwarted by the resolute Homeboyz backline. The match was played at the Utalii Complex on October 17, 2021.
