On October 15, 2021, the Postal Corporation of Kenya (Posta) received KSh72 million from Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA) to boost its cross-border e-commerce deliveries.

The funding aims to increase Posta's capacity to process 10,000 packages daily, providing an efficient logistics and distribution platform for e-commerce entrepreneurs and customers.

Additionally, the deal will enhance Posta's internal digital capacities and improve collaboration with external actors in the e-commerce space, both regionally and globally.

The agreement seeks to facilitate increased trade capacity of targeted businesses through the use of technology, boosting regional trade and linking businesses to international markets.

Posta has previously partnered with the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) to provide logistics and delivery services for various documents countrywide.
