On July 4, 2019, a tragic incident occurred at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) when a stowaway fell off a Nairobi-London Kenya Airways flight, resulting in their death.
Following this incident, there is a pressing need for a comprehensive security audit at JKIA to identify areas of vulnerability and implement measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
