On October 11, 2021, the Ministry of Health announced 96 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the country's total caseload to 251,248.
According to Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, the new cases were derived from 3,702 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of Covid-19 tests to 2,609,854.
The country's positivity rate now stands at 2.6 per cent, with 90 of the new cases being Kenyans and six foreigners.
Of the new cases, 62 were males and 34 females, with the youngest being a two-year-old baby and the oldest being 86 years old.
Additionally, 293 patients had recovered from the disease, with 202 recovering from the home-based and isolation care programme and 91 from various health facilities.
The total number of recoveries is now 244,237, while nine more patients have succumbed to the disease, raising the death toll to 5,190.
