As of 2021, Kenya's mobile data consumption has grown exponentially, with consumers demanding more competitive and comprehensive services. These range from browsing, downloading, streaming, digital transactions, news consumption, and digital applications, which have become integral to everyday life.

However, are Kenyans satisfied with the provision of data, voice, and text services in Kenya? To answer this question, we spoke with Juliet Makena, a marketing executive based in Nairobi, during the telecommunications customer week.

Juliet has used only one mobile service provider in the past, joining the bandwagon due to its popularity, but not being keen on the value offered. She has since switched to Telkom, citing its competitive data and call packages as the main reason.

With Telkom's Madaraka Life offer, Juliet enjoys uninterrupted data throughout the month, which has significantly impacted her experience and pocket. She appreciates the convenience of mobile money services, which has reduced her need to physically visit banks for transactions.

When asked about areas for improvement, Juliet suggested enhancing 4G coverage in remote areas, where she often finds herself. Despite this, she remains optimistic about the future of mobile service provision in Kenya, citing the presence of providers with excellent voice and data packages as a positive factor.
