Monicah's journey into early marriage began with an unplanned pregnancy, which she had with the father of her first child. Despite not being in love, she decided to get married to conceal their pre-marital relationship.
Speaking to Wambui Wa Mwangi, Monicah revealed, 'I got married after form four and got my son Jimmy who is turning 16. He was a church member and I was the youth secretary and praise and worship member. He was not a stranger.'
When they realized their actions went against their Christian vows, they turned to their pastor for guidance, who prayed for them and helped them start living together.
