On October 7, 2021, police in Siaya county launched an investigation into the murder of Marvin Onyango, a 28-year-old man who was allegedly killed by his 30-year-old neighbour, George Onyango.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the motive behind the murder was George's anger over Marvin's teasing about his bedroom skills.
DCI tweeted that prior to the incident, Marvin had been mocking George for being an underperformer in sexual activities, describing him as a 'Johnny-come-lately' in marrying his wife, after what Marvin described as 'being assisted by other men'.
Police say George smashed Marvin's head using a club and killed him instantly, with the body being moved to the morgue awaiting post-mortem.
The suspect, George Onyango, is still at large as investigations into the incident continue.
