Published on October 7, 2021, a video of Nairobi politician Karen Nyamu leading a praise and worship session has gone viral, sparking mixed reactions from netizens.
The video, recorded during a church service, showcases Nyamu's devotion and has caught the attention of hundreds of social media users.
However, not everyone is impressed. Some critics have accused Nyamu of being a hypocrite, hiding her sins behind her faith. They claim she is a 'homewrecker' and 'husband snatcher' due to her relationship with Samidoh, a musician, and their expected child.
Others have defended Nyamu, saying it's wrong to judge others, as we are all sinners. Social media user Charity Gitonga commented, 'Who can imagine you are a husband snatcher? But I know one day you will be dumped.'
Nyamu responded, 'You think he is the only one who can dump me? I can also dump him.'
She also addressed Mercy Enskye, who said she was playing with God, by saying, 'The day you will know God you will be very happy. I feel bad seeing Christians in your kind of bondage.'
Despite the criticism, Nyamu has maintained that she has no intention of making Samidoh divorce his wife. In a recent interview, she said, 'He is a very good guy. I want him to stay with his family. Even if they separated today, God forbid, I can move in with Samidoh. He is my baby daddy and visits my place regularly.'
