President Uhuru Kenyatta's visit to the home of the late Bob Collymore has been revealed by Peter Kenneth, a close friend of the deceased.
Speaking on behalf of Collymore's friends at a memorial service held at All Saints Cathedral, Kenneth praised the President for taking time off to visit Collymore before his death.
According to Kenneth, the President's visit was a gesture of goodwill and a sign of respect for Collymore's family.
"Rais Uhuru Kenyatta alimtembelea Bob Collymore nyumbani kwake Jumatatu juma lililopita na Bob alifurahia sana," Kenneth quoted the President as saying.
Collymore's friends and family have been paying tribute to him since his death, and Kenneth's revelation has added to the outpouring of grief.
Collymore was a well-known figure in Kenyan business and politics, and his death has been met with shock and sadness from across the country.
