On October 6, 2021, TECNO unveiled the Camon 18 Premier, a flagship device that boasts a Helio G96 processor and a gimbal camera.
The Camon 18 Premier is the first device for the African market to feature the Helio G96 processor from Mediatek, which is also expected to be used in the Infinix NOTE 11 Pro launching soon.
The Helio G96 processor features MediaTek HyperEngine 2.0 gaming technology, which includes an Intelligent Resource Management Engine and a Networking Engine to improve gaming performance.
Thanks to the processor, the phone now features a 120Hz AMOLED panel, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. The device also boasts a 4750mAh battery that supports 33W Fast Charging, allowing it to reach 50% in just 20 minutes.
The Camon 18 Premier features a powerful set of cameras, including a 64MP main sensor, a 12MP Gimbal Ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP Periscope lens with 5X optical zoom and up to 12X AI algorithm-based digital zoom.
At the front, there's a 32MP selfie camera that features improved algorithms for clarity, beauty, and editing options.

The Camon 18 Premier is priced from around KES 36,999 and features a 6.7” AMOLED display, a 4750mAh battery, and a range of other features.
