Published on October 6, 2021, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has revealed why her husband, lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo, rarely accompanies her to public events.
According to Waiguru, her husband has taken a back seat in politics, a decision she supports, as he is not a politician.
However, Waiguru clarified that her husband has fully assumed his duty as Kirinyaga County's First Gentleman, supporting her in various ways when needed.
“He does his work as the First Gentleman. This weekend, as first spouses, they had a health program they initiated in the month of Cancer awareness, he was the chief guest, and all the first ladies were there. He does his work as he can to support the county, but he is not a politician, so he doesn't take the front seat,” she said.
Waiguru also spoke about her marriage, stating that she is happy and has gained a few kilos since getting married.
Her glowing face and bright smile are a testament to her happiness in marriage.
“I think you can see by my face that I'm happy… You can see from the day I got married until now that I've gained a little weight, which means I'm happy, and you can see my smile, so the marriage is good,” she added.
