On October 4, 2021, at 3 am, a 25-year-old woman lost her life in a tragic incident at the Sunny Side Apartments in Mombasa. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched an investigation into the case.
According to the DCI, the suspect, believed to be a foreigner, allegedly threw the woman from the balcony before fleeing the scene.
A security guard at the apartment complex reported hearing the woman's screams and a loud bang, followed by the sound of a body hitting the ground.
Reports indicate that the woman and the suspect were in an intimate relationship. The guard discovered the woman's body in a pool of blood and informed the janitors, who identified the victim.
Further investigation revealed that the woman had been invited to room A10 by a man named Muyanga Suleiman earlier that night. The door to the room was found open, and the suspect was nowhere to be found.
The scene of the crime was processed by detectives, and the body was moved to the morgue. The suspect, however, remains at large.
