On October 4, 2021, a tragic incident occurred in Mtwapa, Kilifi County, where a Kenyan woman and her boyfriend took their own lives by jumping from an apartment's fifth floor.
The incident unfolded at 3am, with the woman identified as Lucy Nyokabi following her boyfriend, Rastaman, who had jumped first.
According to the DCI, the two lovers had been involved in a heated fight before making the fatal decision.
As reported by the DCI, the apartment's guard was shocked to see the man's naked body lying on the ground, and shortly after, the woman's body landed on his feet with a thud.
The guard, in a state of fear, immediately fled to the Mtwapa police station, where he recounted the bizarre incident to detectives, describing it as 'falling ghosts'.
Upon investigation, the DCI found that the bedroom's floor was flooded with blood, and a glass table in the living room had been shattered.
The incident has left the community in shock, and the DCI has reported on the tragic events.
